Charles Gray - Activist

Lifelong campaigner for peace
and a better, fairer world

Many of the political actions and other achievements of Charles Gray, PhD, who died in Eugene, Oregon in 2006, attracted attention not only in the United States but internationally as well.

Oprah Winfrey flew him to Chicago to appear on her show. The BBC featured him in a program on the relationship between money and happiness.

He was an icon for simple livers and other progressives. In his later years, orders for his self-published book, Toward a Non-Violent Economics, arrived periodically and every now and then he would get a phone call or visit from some stranger who'd been touched by his story and been moved to reach out to him.
